I live on the east bench in Lindon, Utah. At this time of the year it's very cold, wet, iced over, or snowed on outside. My house is a busy one with lots of coming and going. I'm so thankful for my mudroom. A year and a half ago I invested a pretty penny in a small mudroom coming in from my garage. (Which today is more like a small pond from how wet my car was when I got home tonight.) Let me just say right here right now, it was worth every penny! It's not in the same league as my dream mudrooms, but it is cute and serves it's purpose well.
I had to work with a very limited amount of space, but it did make a big difference. Here's what I did do. I changed the door placement, added travertine flooring and a built in bench with cubbies and lots of hooks.

Now I have a hard surface that cleans up nicely.

Here's the best view I could get of the built in bench with cubbies.
So like I said, it might not be in the same league as these beauties that I found over at Blueprint Bliss, but it does do a great job as our family's catch all room and I'm soooo glad I did it!
This is the right blog for everyone who would like to understand this
ReplyDeletetopic. You understand a whole lot its almost tough to argue with you (not that I personally would want to…HaHa).
You certainly put a new spin on a subject that has been written about for a long time.
Wonderful stuff, just great!
