Outdoor Inspiration

With all the sunshine we've had this week my mind is turned to the yard. I'm looking to create lovely outdoor spaces our family can enjoy day and night...

I built a fire pit similar to this one last summer from left over rock we already had. Now I just need to add the rock patio. And this retaining wall would be perfect because ours is located on a hillside which right now is just a very hard place to weed.

How romantic! I love this look for an evening barbecue.

 

My back porch is perfect to do something fun like this with. I'll post pictures when I get it done.

 

 Wouldn't this be fun? I'll have to keep it in mind for someday when my daughter Alyssa gets married.

 

I love the whole picture but the reason I've added it is because of the tree. It inspires me to plant more big trees. I'm really trying to create great shade for our backyard.

I love the idea of a pool. My backyard is the perfect size for one too. If I lived in a warmer climate I would definitely have one.

Corby and I have already been taking about doing a vegetable garden. Wish us luck! We'll need it.

 

 

 

Now that's HOT!

Today was beautiful! I think it actually got up to 60 degrees. The sun was out and it was a perfect running day. This weather is such a teaser, but it's got me thinking about all the fun new looks were going to get to start wearing pretty soon.

Here's a few of my latest favorites...

She not only looks amazing but quite comfortable too. Now that's a winning combo for anyone.

This is a look I've been wearing for the past 20 years and it's still works for me today. Classic style for any old day.

 

If you're like me and you've been advised by you're 20 year old daughter to add a pop of color to you're wardrobe, this look would suffice without being to much.

 and lately I've been on the hunt for a new everyday purse. This one says summer to me...

I love this jacket for something like date night dinner and a movie because even when it's warm outside they always keep the indoors too cold for my comfort.

 

 I don't know where I would wear this dress, but I love, love, love it! And I would have lots of fun trying to figure that one out ;) Looks like something Nicole Richie would wear.

Daydreaming

With great weather right around the corner, I'm daydreaming about lazy summer days...

  Yes, I'm dreaming of summer. But as for now it's actually sunny here in northern Utah today. A whopping 54 degrees is the predicted high. And tomorrow is calling for snow again, so I'm going to take advantage of the day and just go for a run. Then maybe I can look like this...
