Jennifer Lopez = Style Icon

Do you remember where you were when you saw the "If you had my Love" Jennifer Lopez video for the first time? Well, I DO! And from that moment on I've been a BIG fan. The girl is amazing and has such a knack with style.

Yup, I just watched it again and after all these years, it's still Freaking Cool!

I have to say, she is the real American Idol! I've always watched the show, but now I don't skip the intro any more because I look forward the seeing what she'll be wearing.




I know I'm not alone in my admiration for her because if you do a google search for Jennifer Lopez you get 115,000,000 results.

So this post is my tribute to J.Lo. I love you, I admire your fabulous style choices, and I wish we were friends!!!

Just a little side note. After she became J.Lo, I became  L.Mo. I'm not even kidding. That's how much of a fan I am.

I guess I should mention Mark Anthony since he is her hubby. I was one of the many who were thinking WHAT? I don't get it! But he recently did a guess spot on American Idol and I liked him in it.

He is in the same industry so I guess it makes since after all. They seem to be good for each other.

Being part Mexican myself, I really love this Latin family's lovely life!

I got the sudden urge to blog when I saw this picture. All I could think was WOW!

And then I found another about fabulous California living, and again WOW!

So in this post I'm combining two of my favorite subject matters.

Yes please on this incredible backyard setting. How dreamy!

And I would really love to have this bike. I've always said that my body isn't built for biking. Many have tried to convince me other wise, but my crotch just can't take it. I always come away from biking feeling injured instead of that euphoric, I had a great workout high.

But this bike! This bike I think I would enjoy. The seat appears to be user friendly and it doesn't have that awful bar going across the top that I seem to always slam my sensitive area against. :(

Take a look at this backless beauty! I can't help myself. I'm just sitting here staring, and staring and staring.

It's been a few minutes and I just closed my mouth. If this picture has this kind of an effect on me, what is it doing to the men!

Very cute! I wish I were wearing this today.

Ha ha, I love it! That is about as crafty as I have ever been or ever will be.

I think I might actually do this when I redo my laundry room.

YUM! But never in the AM hours. I personally love breakfast for dinner. A small bowl of cereal is about all I can stomach for breakfast.

I know I've been all over the map with this post, but it just goes to show you how quickly my mood can swing.

Life with Charlie

When I was a little girl my family lived in the country. We had pets, but they were all outside, fend for yourself kind of pets. My mother would never even think about having an animal in her home!

So the thought of an indoor pet never really gelled for me until a year ago, when we got our kids a cat for Christmas. We live in Northern Utah and putting a kitten outside seemed cruel so Lola has been in our home ever since. And talk about a fraidy-cat. She is so spoiled, she doesn't even think about going outside!

I've always loved cats and appreciated the way they pretty much take care of themselves. My husband, on the other hand, has always been a dog lover. So after 9 years of marriage, I wanted him to be able to have a dog in his life again.

I was going to surprise him for his Birthday this May, but I can't keep anything from him so I told him about my plan. He warned me over and over about how much harder dogs are than cats but I assured him I was ready.

So for our 9th anniversary we got Charlie...

 
And this is where he always is, right at my feet. But I have to say, I'm in love with this dog! He was sold to us as a Cocker Spaniel Shih-tzu mix. We met his mom, the Cocker Spaniel, Roxy and the dad a Shih-tzu named Maxey.

What? This is what a Cocker spaniel and Shih tzu mix looks like.

 We asked the owners about why Charlie looks the way he does and they told us he won't get his hair until 5 or 6 months. What????

Oh well, suckers that we are, we took him anyways. We had already fallen in love with his sweet personality and made a connection with him. So what ever he is, we love him. But out of curiosity I did take him to the vet for a DNA test. We won't get the results for a couple of weeks, but were guessing he's part Pit-bull or maybe Boxer. What do you think? He's only 3 months old and his paws are pretty big.

Well, whatever Charlie is remains to be seen, but we do know that we love him and that he's freakin' adorable!!! So yes, you can call it puppy love ;)
